- It has a high solubility because 
- Hyrdoxyl 
- The water bonded with the OH / HO bonds and that made it soluble. Ionic / polar bonds 
- The channels contract and relax the muscles. 
- The sodium potassium pump. 
- The inside of the cell membrane. 
- When the voltage across the membrane is below -90 mv the sodium ion channel is essentially inactive.

- Over time the number of open channels go down so TTX is blocking the channels.
